ABOUT US
The Malvern Local Group was formed over 40 years ago being the first, and now, the oldest of the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (WWT) local groups.
The Malvern area includes the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. The area also includes several of WWT’s nature reserves including the Knapp & Papermill, Blackhouse Wood and Hollybed Common. Much of the surrounding land contains diverse and important flora and fauna and is also one of the most important geological areas in the UK.
Our activities include:
- Monthly indoor meetings on the first Thursday of each month (September to May inclusive) at 7.30 in the Lyttelton Rooms, Church Street, Malvern, WR14 2AY. £3.00 including refreshments, payable on the night at the door.
- Walks in the surrounding areas, with a specific focus or theme.
- Ambles, concentrating on discovering the flora and fauna of a small local area.
- Day and overnight trips to special areas of wildlife interest.
- Working parties at local reserves.
- Local events.
- Annual collection.
